Burnett Construction was established in the late 1980s by Billy Burnett, beginning with small local farm projects, remodels, and occasional home construction.
In 1993, Thomas Jenkins joined Burnett Construction as a carpenter's helper while finishing his senior year at Yantis High School.
Through hard work, craftsmanship, and attention to detail, Thomas progressed from lead carpenter to foreman and eventually into company management.
By the late 1990s, Burnett Construction had grown into a full-service construction company, taking on remodeling projects and building several new homes each year.
By 2000 Burnett Construction had earned a reputation for quality craftsmanship throught the greater Lake Fork and Lake Cypress Springs areas.
Today, that reputation continues to grow through every home we build, remodel, and improve throughout Northeast Texas.
In early 2006, Thomas acquired half ownership of Burnett Construction and became the managing partner. His dedication and commitment to the company led to full ownership in 2009.
Since then, Thomas has continued to build on the reputation Burnett Construction was founded on-quality workmanship, honest communication, and attention to detail. He is committed to working with the best craftsmen, sub-contractors, and building materials to ensure every Burnett Construction project meets the highest standards.
With decades of experience in Northeast Texas, Burnett Construction has developed extensive experience building and remodeling custom lake homes on Lake Cypress Springs and Lake Bob Sandlin, as well as through the surrounding Lake Fork area and the communities of Mount Vernon, Winnsboro, Mount Pleasant, Sulphur Springs, Yantis, and Emory.
